Project Description

The New Rain Resort rainwater harvesting project has been implemented on the project proponents property located in Kiambu county, Kenya. The project involved the construction of a catchment structure (30,000 cubic meter triangular earth dam), a core trench, embankment, silt trap and sump and 1200mm diameter underground culvert spillway. The purpose of these structures is to channelize rainwater runoff from the road outside the property into the catchment structure for future use.
