Project Description

The Chinnakarai CETP, located in Tiruppur, is a Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) facility serving member textile units. It employs advanced technologies—such as high-recovery reverse osmosis, multi-effect evaporation, and crystallization—to recycle wastewater and reclaim sodium sulphate for reuse in the dyeing process. This closed-loop system eliminates freshwater extraction and waste discharge, setting a benchmark for circular and climate-resilient water management in India’s textile sector.
